Potluck Projects . . .

was a two-month residency in Smithville, TX, at 212 Main St., sponsored and hosted by Prizer Arts & Letters. This residency was an exploration of community and connection. All events were free and open to the public.

Residency Events Included:

  • Opening Happy Hour, Meet the Artists!

  • Performances of the original devised show, “Recipes for a Potluck,” created in response to the residency. Each performance was followed by a potluck.

  • Fiber Arts Demonstration

  • Community Dinner, and intentional and facilitated meal with others

  • Singing Circles, including Gospel songs, Campfire songs, and sing-a-long for preschool and elementary students

  • Open Drawing Studios

  • Open Theatre Workshops

  • Community Shadow Box making sessions.

  • Story Exchange circles, for public and at Smithville High School
